QHP - what does it mean?

Q is for quilting
If quilting is your passion, you'll love our new scant ¼ inch foot and the diverse assortment of stitches - quilt stitches, pre-programmed stippling stitches, 7 versions of appliqué, numerous patchwork stitches and a French knot.

H is for heirloom
Heirloom sewing is enjoying a revival. Join us in a journey of discovery using Elna's lovely hemstitches. Point de Paris, Rhodes, Turkish, Venetian are just a few of the exquisite choices.

P is for performance
Your fashion sense demands distinctive couture touches, like arrowtacks, bartacks and bound buttonholes. Take it a step further and embellish cuffs, collars, pockets, buttonhole areas with any of our decorative motifs.

What a diverse assortment of stitches this machine offers - utility, quilting, heirloom, cross, satin stitches, buttonholes - 126 in all!

Speaking ofbuttonholes, this machine offers seven styles. Select from classic, classic keyhole, rounded, stretch, and knit automatic buttonholes. And for novelty and unusually large openings, use the 4-step classic or bound buttonhole.

And don't forget the alphabets - Block and Script styles - to add distinction to your creation. Reduce the alphabet size to 2/3 size when you need a smaller look.

Simply attach the stitch chart to view them all.

Here's just some of the information the large LCD screen with adjustable backlight shows - the selected stitch, recommended foot, stitch width and length, mirror image, face to face, elongation.

Tired of changing settings for your favorite techniques? Use the My Personal Setting key (PS) to reprogram width, length, elongation, mirror image, face to face for any of the 126 stitches. No need to change the settings each time you sew.

Four separate memories (up to 50 stitches in each) will allow you to keep those unique creations you've composed. And you can combine utility, quilting, heirloom, cross and satin stitches and alphabets in a single sequence. Once you've saved your sequence, you can recall, overwrite or delete.

And with the quick resumption mode, you won't lose data. Turn the machine back on and the last stitch(es) sewn will be displayed.

Sew for long periods of time? The indispensable start/stop key lets you sew like the professionals. No more foot control fatigue. It's great for French knots, eyelets, buttonholes.

Always looking for your scissors? Not anymore. Press the auto thread cut key to quickly cut the needle and bobbin threads.

7200_speed_control.jpg Wouldn't it be wonderful to speed through long fabric lengths at 1000 spm? Just set the speed control lever.

Need an extra hand? Use the knee lifter to raise or lower the presser foot. Especially useful when pivoting corners, sewing free-motion embroidery or piecing patchwork.

7200_pressure.jpg Here's another feature we've taken from the professionals. This dial is fully adjustable for changing foot pressure when sewing multiple layers or specialty fabrics. You'll keep your fabrics moving smoothly.
Need to leave yourself a reminder? Flip the stitch chart and clip your notes to the handy message board. 7200_clipboard_small.jpg

A fantastic feature on this machine is the retractable thread guide for 2 industrial thread cones. It's ideal for twin needle sewing or winding a bobbin while sewing.

Better, faster, more reliable, the built-in needle threader works first time, every time. 7200_needle_threader.jpg

At the end of the day, tidy up your space, store accessory box, knee lifter, etc., in the four pockets of the attractive, sturdy red protective cover. Slip the cover over the machine and be assured everything is kept in place.
